AVP – Compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on anti-money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including handling of exceptional cases
  • Monitor branch compliance with AML/CFT regulations and laws and report any violation to management
  • Promptly report any suspicious transaction activities to CAD
  • Keep abreast of industry AML/CFT practices and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly
  • Follow up on compliance-related auditors’/MAS’ findings relating to AML/CFT and their relevant rectification
  • Liaise with MAS and government agencies on AML/CFT issues
  • Conduct meetings with relevant departments on AML/CFT issues, including provide training to staff on related matters
  • Regular reporting to Head Office in accordance with set timeframes
  • Other duties include investigation of suspicious transactions and escalate any suspicious transactions to Manager

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder
  • At least 5 years of compliance role in a banking environment
  • Working knowledge of AML/CFT requiremtns in Singapore and OFAC
  • Transaction monitoring experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle demands and requirements of internal customers

Compliance Officer

Responsibilities

  • Review and update internal rules, policies and guidelines to meet best practice regulatory and industry standards
  • Provide sound compliance advice on regulatory issues
  • Assist in clarifying and resolving uncertainties in rules and regulations affecting business transactions and practices
  • Carry out compliance reviews in the compliance program

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous and enjoy working in a fast paced environment

AVP – Group Compliance

Responsibilities

  • Provide compliance support and guidance to HQ and worldwide offices in implementing best in class compliance practices to foster a strong compliance culture and protect the reputation of the Bank
  • Develop, maintain and implement compliance programs and carry out regulatory compliance monitoring activities
  • Facilitate businesses in establishing, reviewing and updating internal rules, policies and guidelines to meet best practice regulatory and industry standards
  • To provide advisory on interpretation and recommendation on regulations and policies arising from enquiries or new products and business initiatives
  • Review impact of new and amended regulations and provide feedback on proposed regulations
  • Provide training to business units on related matters
  • Liaise and resolve issues with regulators arising from regulatory inspections and other regulatory clarifications to minimise regulatory issues

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business, Law, Finance or related field
  • Min 5 to 8 years experience in Audit/Compliance related work preferably in a banking environment
  • Good knowledge of banking regulations such as requirements from the Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act, Trust Companies Act and other relevant financial services laws and regulations, compliance best practices and understanding of financial products and systems
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
